Associate Architect / Urban Designer required to join the Senior leadership team of our clients northern urban design and masterplanning team located in their contemporary central Leeds studio.

Ranging across the UK and internationally our client design places from small community parks and neighbourhoods to city districts. They are collaborative, supportive and foster a creative design approach that is intelligent, responsible and with foresight to best protect and harness the earth's equilibrium

They are an agile, independently minded business, working in creative and sociable studio atmospheres from five cities - London, Oxford, Manchester, Leeds and Abu Dhabi.

Required is an Associate level Architect / Urban Designer to join their studio in Leeds. You will act as an ambassador for the Practice, assist the Partners with local office matters, lead and co-ordinate multiple large-scale projects, whilst developing and expanding their client base and leading a team of passionate and talented place-making specialists.

Requirements for the Associate Architect / Urban Designer

  • 10+ years of professional work experience.
  • Riba Part 3 Architect Qualification / ARB registration and possibly CMLI
  • Ability and proven experience of leading teams and project delivery.
  • Excellent design & design leadership skills of urban design, masterplanning and smaller scale architecture projects.
  • Ability to liaise with external consultants and clients in a proficient and professional manner, nurturing relationships in support of ongoing business development.
  • Ability to supervise and advise on staff progress and performance.
  • Excellent project management skills, strong leadership and organisation.
  • Management and understanding of the financial aspects of the project, including project resourcing, managing project budgets and costs.
