Role: Computer Vision Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Computer Vision Algorithms: Design, develop, and optimise computer vision algorithms to extract meaningful insights from visual data, enhancing the company's AI-driven platform.
  • Data Integration: Work with a variety of data sources, including CCTV cameras, IoT sensors, and third-party feeds, to aggregate and analyse real-time data.
  • AI and Machine Learning Models: Train and fine-tune AI and machine learning models to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the platform's anomaly detection and predictive analytics capabilities.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate computer vision solutions with existing systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision and AI technologies, applying innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
  • Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of computer vision algorithms to ensure real-time processing and accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of computer vision systems to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision, AI, or machine learning.
  • Experience: Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision solutions in a commercial setting.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and experience with computer vision libraries and frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Algorithm Development: Strong skills in developing and optimising computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, segmentation, and classification.
  • Machine Learning: Solid understanding of machine learning principles and experience in training and fine-tuning models for computer vision tasks.
  • Data Handling: Experience working with large datasets and real-time data processing.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and apply innovative solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced start-up environment.
