Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to be part of the Computing Infrastructure research group within the Department of Engineering Science.

This role is part of a funded research initiative focusing on Edge-Intelligence, particularly emphasizing dynamic swarm networking.

Key Responsibilities

Your contributions will include:

  • Developing hardware-accelerated in-network operations for swarm networking.
  • Integrating in-network machine learning and network security solutions utilizing programmable data planes.
  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating various components of the system.
  • Collaborating with consortium partners to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A PhD/DPhil in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Established expertise in computer networks and programmable network devices.
  • Significant coding experience in both P4 and Python.
  • A background in developing in-network computing solutions.
  • Experience working within a Linux environment and familiarity with related scripting languages.
