JOB MISSION:
The role of the Internal Communications Manager is to serve as an expert communicator by informing and delivering global communication plans in our region and crafting communications to support the organisation's strategy and culture. This is an exciting new opportunity at New Balance, with an opportunity to be based out of our Warrington or Amsterdam office. We offer hybrid working and a flexibility to working hours to accommodate for a healthy work life balance.
This role reports to the Senior Director, HR EMEA with a matrix reporting line to the Director, Internal Communications (global).
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Contribute to global communication strategies, objectives and plans to provide critical regional perspectives and details
- Work closely with the regional business leaders to identify common communication needs that are relevant across the region
- Build and execute detailed communication plans for the EMEA region, including objective(s), strategies, key messages, tactics and measurements for NB's most critical priorities and focus areas
- Contribute and develop communication plans for critical regional initiatives, including diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and culture and engagement initiatives
- Develop key messages, video scripts, talking points and message briefings for key stakeholders
- Contribute to short- and long-term editorial calendar planning by sourcing story concepts and content idealisation
- Grow, develop and foster relationships with cross-functional partner teams and a wide network of NB associates
- Build presentations to support internal communication objectives and initiatives, and in support of key internal clients
- Plan and deliver regional communication meetings and forums including all-associate meetings, online forums, focus groups.
- Lead and advise on regional associate surveys assessment of impact and associate satisfaction.
- Cultivate best practice in communications across the region
- Collaborate with, influence and serve as a communication advocate for key customers and cross-functional teams on linked objectives
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- Significant IC experience gained from working in a multi-national, matrix led businesses with a deep understanding of cultural differences across the EMEA region
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including copy writing/editing, storytelling, presentation development and event planning
- Strong listening skill – able to interpret and synthesise complex messages appropriately for audience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management, enabling work with multiple stakeholders with immediate credibility
- Able to handle multiple projects – and meet new challenges – with composure and confidence
- Proven success in building and measuring communication plans
- Aptitude to protect sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to utilise strong project management skills including managing multiple projects at different stages simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a focus on results and accuracy
- Fluent in English (other European languages would be beneficial)
