We are looking for an Administrator/Supervisor of a Team in the Scottish Sensory Centre to support the effective and efficient operation of its national remit to promote and disseminate effective practice and innovation in the education of children and young people with a range of sensory impairments.

The opportunity:

The Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining all SSC budgets for core work, related projects and training, and subscription services; for organising and monitoring admin staff support and supervising and implementing processes involved in the operation of the SSC programme of courses, events and activities using University systems and developed in-house practices.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed term for 1 year. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • HNC/HND level or relevant work experience with demonstrable work record.
  • Be able to manage a range of budgets.
  • Evidence of good written and verbal communication skills with people from all areas of the community.
  • Ability and experience to supervise, train, and develop other staff.
  • Ability to correctly determine the importance of workloads to meet agreed deadlines.

Grade UE06: £31,396 to £36,024 per annum (A revised salary range for this grade of £32,982 to £38,205 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)
