Saints Foundation is an independent charity aligned to Southampton Football Club. Harnessing the passion of the Club and its fans we aim to inspire, support and deliver positive change and equality of opportunity for young people and adults at risk across Southampton and surrounding areas.
What is the role?
You will support the Head of Partnerships & Business Development to develop new, and account manage, existing relationships with Corporate partners, as well as coordinating the delivery of Corporate events run to benefit Saints Foundation and generate unrestricted income. You will foster strong relationships with individuals and businesses to raise the profile of donating to our charity, and ensure we have appropriate stewardship plans in place. You'll also work closely with your fundraising and marketing colleagues on the delivery of their activities, as part of our income generation team.
What will you be doing?
Income generation & fundraising
Working within the Fundraising, Marketing & Partnerships team to deliver against the Fundraising Strategy with particular emphasis on income generation from Corporate and events. You will assist in the planning, creation and implementation of an annual calendar of high-quality fundraising activations and events which provide the platform to activate donors and patrons and inspire new supporters to engage with the charity.
Partnership & business development
Lead on the delivery of 3rd Party, Partnership and Patrons events, clearly defining the objectives and the budget to meet the needs of each partner and Saints Foundation.
Support the Head of Partnerships & Business Development to build and maintain outstanding stewardship with our patrons and corporate partners, ensuring the fulfilment of all patron benefits and taking on the account management of identified patrons, as well as ensuring that media/PR opportunities are delivered.
The role involves working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure all supporters receive timely and relevant content updates through CRM communications, to keep them connected with the charity and our impact.
What are we looking for?
You will be a highly competent communicator, with the ability to interact with people from a range of backgrounds and an outstanding ability to build and maintain relationships, both within businesses and the community. Working in a charity would be a bonus
Experience of working effectively in a multi-faceted fundraising or sales department with exposure to and awareness of account management principles would be advantageous. Experience in coordinating and running bespoke and large-scale events would be advantageous.
The ability to be adaptable with outstanding organisational skills will be required in order to manage competing priorities.
