Required for September a dynamic, well-qualified and committed Lead Practitioner to join our Modern Foreign Languages department. This is both an exciting opportunity to join the wider School Leadership Team and offers the potential for further career development. The successful candidate will join a supportive MFL team and continue the excellent work already underway. Our MFL Department consists of three full-time teachers, including one Assistant Headteacher and one subject specific Support Assistant. The MFL Department currently teaches French to KS4 but we are looking to expand our curriculum offer to a second language.

Job Purpose

To provide pedagogic leadership within the school and to play a key role in raising teaching and learning standards through the quality of own teaching and by supporting the professional development of colleagues.

To be an exemplar of teaching skills, lead the improvement of teaching skills within the school and carry out the professional responsibilities of a teacher, including those responsibilities delegated by the head teacher. Full details of the role can be found in the application pack attached.
