The Academy is seeking to appoint an innovative, qualified and experienced IT Technician who is committed to supporting a consistently high standard of IT services across the Academy. The post will include key responsibilities for maintaining effective service delivery standards, maintaining equipment and providing first and second line support to our students and staff. There is a requirement to be customer-focused and able to work within a team. The post requires a "hands-on" individual with excellent technical and communication skills, with a good practical knowledge of servers and Microsoft and Apple applications in a network environment.

Chelsea Academy has excellent IT facilities. Our network combines being powered by Google in the cloud with on site virtualized servers powered by Windows Server 2016 and 2019 (Hyper-V) using a CISCO Meraki network infrastructure. The Academy provides Chromebooks for all students in Years 10 to 12, as well as staff. We are looking for an IT Technician who is passionate about their role and is outward looking at developments for the future. We hope that the successful candidate shares a passion for learning technology.

Overview

Our most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2023 saw us being judged strongly good in all areas. Our current SIAMS grading is outstanding. Both inspections evidence our excellent quality of education and commitment to ensure all students flourish both academically and pastorally. We believe in educating the whole child and our Christian values of joy, perseverance, servant leadership, charity and forgiveness underpin everything we stand for. It is important that all of our staff, whether they are teachers or not, work closely with our young people and ensure that they are successful in all that they do.
