The role is for an experienced programme manager/co-ordinator to join two exciting new projects, DREaMED and ERACC, both funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR):

DREaMED (Defining, Recognising and Escalating Maternal Early Deterioration): Decreasing inequality through improved outcomes is jointly led by Professor Peter Watkinson (NDCN) and Professor Marian Knight MBE (National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit).

The project aims to improve maternal outcomes and decrease inequalities by finding better ways of describing, spotting, and treating women when they become unwell during pregnancy.


ERACC (Enhanced Recovery After Critical Care) is jointly led by Professor Peter Watkinson (NDCN) and Dr Sarah Vollam (NDCN).

The project aims to design and trial an enhanced care pathway for patients discharged from intensive care to hospital wards, to improve their recovery and rehabilitation.


In this challenging role you will assist the Chief Investigators in the day to day running of the projects.

You will work closely with the Administrator in the NDCN Critical Care Research Group and the project teams, including research assistants, post-doctoral researchers, statisticians, study midwives, nurses and physiotherapist, patient and public contributors and the wider project team to ensure the successful administration of the programme and the surveillance systems.

You will act as the 'first point of contact' and will ensure effective communication and liaison with all collaborating organisations and individuals to ensure the smooth running of the programmes and assist the Chief Investigators in coordinating and managing budgets and resources.

You will assist the Chief Investigators with producing study progress reports for relevant bodies and individuals. The post is based in the Critical Care Research Group, Kadoorie Centre, University of Oxford.
