Practice Manager - Birmingham Area

Inspired Selections are currently working with a small independent group of 3 opticians based in the Birmingham area. They are now looking for a Practice Manager to work between 2 of the branches.

The practices have been managing themselves for a number of years now, but due to a change in the owners situation and needing to take a small step away from the business, they feel now is the time to invest in a good manager who they can lean on and drive the business as well as managing the team.

  • Must have at a minimum experience of 2-years working in an opticians
  • Must be able to dispense to all levels
  • Ideally have some experience within a supervisory or managerial role
  • You will be able to work 5-days per week including Saturdays

You will be joining a family-run independent group of opticians in the Birmingham area overseeing two practices with 2-3 staff in each practice.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager:

  • Manage the clinics - keeping them fully booked and organised as well as booking the appointments
  • Find different ways to help grow and develop the business
  • Dispensing spectacles and making sales
  • Assist patients with all their eye care needs

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager:

  • Minimum of 1 years experience as an Optical Assistant
  • Confident, approachable, and have leadership skills
  • Deliver contact lens teaches and focus on customer service

Compensation of the Optical Practice Manager:

  • Salary range from £24,000 to £28,000 basic
  • Sales related bonus
  • Potential management bonus
  • Sociable hours and 20 days + Bank holidays off
