What you need to know about the role...

This is an amazing opportunity to join us in a period of growth and development.

As aPricing Analyst,you will drive the definition and execution of The Gym Group's pricing analytics.

In this role, you will use the latest pricing and analytical techniques to further develop our pricing analytics capability to enhance decision-making in this area of the business.

You'll be working as part of the Pricing Team, which sits in the Marketing part of the organisation, partnering with colleagues with expertise in data analytics, engineering, and data science.

Main job activities include:

  • Develop and maintain robust pricing analytics, including pricing metrics, price points & product package composition.
  • Provide pricing recommendations to optimise performance through competitor pricing analysis, dynamic pricing experiments, and analysing discounting behaviour.
  • Provide key support in developing business cases related to revenue optimization and enhancing pricing sophistication.
  • Build capability by using established and new pricing methodologies and tools to support the operationalization of our pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance through new analytical techniques, modelling and data enrichment.
  • Present insights to key stakeholders to gain support for pricing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the data team & Finance to embed pricing insights.

To enrich our great team, we are looking for a Pricing Analyst who embraces their role, the team and our culture.

We're looking for someone who is clearly able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ years of pricing & commercial analytics experience
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of pricing and modelling techniques, including A/B testing approaches
  • Proficiency in SQL (essential) and Excel (essential)
  • Pricing and commercial experience in a relevant business, ideally subscription or multi-site business model
  • Strong ability to translate complex data sets into strategic recommendations to influence and support decision making
  • Degree level or equivalent (numerate discipline preferred)
