Job Role:
  • Teach a diverse range of pupils with special educational needs, tailoring your approach to meet individual requirements
  • Create and implement personalised education plans (IEPs) to support pupils' progress and development
  • Employ engaging teaching strategies and utilise specialised resources to ensure optimal learning experiences
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents to foster a holistic approach to education
  • Assess pupil progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional well-being and personal growth
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special education

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working as a Special Needs Teacher
  • Passion for inclusive education and a deep understanding of special educational needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and individual pupil needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Resilience, patience, and a nurturing approach to support pupils' progress and well-being
  • Knowledge of current educational practices and legislation related to special educational needs
