At Our Special Angels we provide childcare for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities during the school holidays. We are hiring for the coming summer holidays. *You must be able to commit to working a minimum of 2 weeks*Our club is open on the following dates;
Week 1- Monday 22nd - Thursday 25th July

week 2- Monday 29th - Thursday 1st August

week 3- Monday 5th - Thursday 8th August

Week 4- Monday 12th - Thursday 15th August

Week 5- Monday 19th - Thursday 22nd August

Week 6- Tuesday 27th - Thursday 29th August Dates you will be working are

Timings are 10am to 3pm.


This role is perfect for teaching assistance or trainee teachers who would like to get a more hands on experience working within the SEND community.

Once you are hired you may work with us during other holiday periods (ongoing post).

We are based at Queensbury School and Wilson Stuart School in Erdington.


YOUR DBS MUST BE ON THE UPDATE SERVICE AND YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES.


Duties include:
Welcome children & parents.

Ensure breaks and lunchtimes are properly supervised

To plan and deliver a wide range of activities to support physical and emotional wellbeing of children attending OSA.

To be considered you must have:
Experience working with children with SEND

  • Good communication skills.
  • Have a DBS and subscription to the update service.
  • Have a flexible approach to your work with a warm, caring attitude.
  • Sensitivity and understanding.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding.
  • Able to provide personal care (includes changing nappies).

In return:

  • All training will be provided.
  • You will be paid a competitive rate of £11:50 per hour.

You must have:

  • DBS on the update service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
