Project Digital Engineering Manager

OVERVIEW

The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site.

The partnership brings together KBR, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad Babcock and Sellafield Ltd to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities.

KBR's rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UK's nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes.

Position Summary

To develop, implement and manage all digital systems at a project level, whilst working with PPP and SL capabilities.

Key Responsibilites

  • Development and maintenance of the Digital Strategy/BIM Execution Plan implementation throughout the project delivery phases compliant with Digital Engineering Capability requirements.
  • Lead the development of the projects strategy in relation to Digital Twin creation and implementation that meets the needs of the Operating Unit and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist ADT Manager in ensuring assurance/compliance with project and client digital requirements.
  • Assist ADT in creating / managing / implementing digital tools / forms to manage project communications, tasks, activities and actions.
  • Ensure applications are configured to deliver information requirements of the EIR.
  • Capture key employer decision points and project specific information requirements.
  • Review and authorise information exchanges on behalf of the employer.
  • Champion and promote best practise in the use of digital systems across the project.
  • Facilitate resolution of all digital engineering issues, Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for discipline and Area Leads for digital engineering matters.
  • Co-ordinate all digital engineering systems hardware and software issues with ISO.
  • Co-ordinate digital training needs.

The Person

  • Previous experience in managing people and execution of digital strategies is essential
  • Appropriate qualifications
  • Experience in working in cross functional stakeholder groups
  • Calm under pressure
  • Displays and enables collaborative behaviours
  • Task driven
  • Able to make decisions in pressurised environments.
