Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Overall Purpose

Our Outsourcing department is responsible for our clients back office financial functions. We will complete all monthly ledger work, booking of accruals and prepayments, fixed assets and completion of monthly management accounts. We perform bank reconciliations and in some cases we make payments on behalf of the client, or set up the payment runs for their approval and release.

As an Outsourcing Senior, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and support our Outsourcing function by providing a high-quality accounting service, as well as developing client relationships alongside your own professional growth. This role will be central to the achievement of the wider team's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
Taking responsibility of a client portfolio, acting as the day-to-day main point of contact for the client. Ensuring accurate preparation of management accounts, VAT returns and other tasks within deadlines and budgets set.Working collaboratively with corporate tax, accounting and advisory and audit teams on year-end deliverables.Building strong relationships internally to provide clients with information on other RSM service lines relevant to their business and participating in Outsourcing Team meetings, being an ambassador for Outsourcing and the wider firm.Sharing your knowledge and expertise with the team and taking an active role in developing and coaching more junior members of the team in; management reporting, VAT returns and soft skills such as communication and problem-solving.Managing client and third-party relationships and delivering an excellent level of client service and stakeholder management from initial client meetings, through transition, liaising with other key contacts and assisting with the development of the client's accounting system, to steady state and ongoing service delivery, building trust, monitoring service standards and implementing efficiencies and improvements.Awareness of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributing to achieving these, keeping the relevant Outsourcing Manager informed of progress.On-going demonstration of highlighting potential business opportunities to the relevant Outsourcing Manager, and self-learning of RSM's markets and core-client base.

ACCA (or ACA) Qualified Accountant, or AAT Qualified Accountant with significant post-qualification experience. QBE candidates with significant experience would also be consideredIf applying to our London team, experience in the real estate, financial services, or energy & natural resources sectors is advantageous.Excellent compliance skills with limited supervision, including knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.Excellent communication skills allowing you to quickly build rapport with client principals and colleagues.Strong attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft packages including Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel.Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that their outsourcing needs are met.Strong time management and organisational skills, adhering strictly to client reporting deadlines.Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables.
