We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Commercial Analysis & Insights Manager

In this role, you will:

  • Drive GLCM NFI & NII growth through leading global initiatives and running tactical campaigns for the GLCM business to meet profitability and revenue targets, and position HSBC as the leading Cash Management provider across our key customer segments. A heavy weighting of activity towards creating NFI uplift. Achieved by identifying and developing a variety of commercial opportunities, communication, obtaining buy-in, driving, tracking and monitoring of suitable strategies and tactical initiatives
  • Collaborate with GB, CMB, clients, WB COO, external partners and other internal functions to use tooling and data analytics to deliver improvements in financial performance, create efficiencies within the business and reduce the risks to our business.
  • Take on Product Owner responsibilities and partner with WCDAO, GLCM IT & Business teams to deliver and commercialise use-cases delivered. In this capacity you will evangelise and champion these initiatives to create visibility across GLCM, and allow the benefits to be well understood across all stakeholders.
  • Develop and provide monthly updates for various forums covering commercial progress updates as well as updates on delivery of various initiatives.
  • Support the process for developing the business case for capacity and investment required to grow the GLCM business further based upon global business priorities.
  • Support activities related to data and analytics governance, and the implementation of the GLCM Data & Analytics Operating Model
  • Where required perform analytics directly through access to WCDAO data assets

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in Wholesale Banking alongside experience within GLCM products and services.
  • Ability to demonstrable experience in data strategy, analysis and commercial roles will be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in roles requiring strong analytical skills and delivering business outcomes through a combination of stakeholder and project management.
  • This is a commercial role which will require the person in the role to understand financials, as well as take on business analysis and management roles as well.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools like Excel & PowerPoint. Exposure to Python, SAS, SQL will be desirable.
  • Enthusiasm for proactively seeking, exploring and developing business solutions through delivery of analytical use cases will be key to success
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
  • Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas.
