Responsibilities

  • Working with Engineering team on designing, testing and implementation of new manufacturing processes, new equipment, procedures, and systems.
  • Analysis and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management.
  • Researching and implementing opportunities to make processes more efficient to increase productivity and enable savings
  • Gather and analyse data to determine root cause of the process failure and system requirements.
  • Ability to read technical instructions, engineering manuals and other production and machine related documents
  • Ability to use charts to illustrate workflow, routings, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilisation.
  • Assist the site in New Product Introduction projects leading to successful product launch and safe and efficient production preparation
  • Perform PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Review and set up optimized product flow through standard work.
  • Identify cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Develop, execute, analyse data from production processes and visualise problems.
  • Working with Injection Molding

  • Can utilize computer literacy capabilities to assist with tasks.
  • Basic mechanical assembly, use of hand tools and hand measuring equipment
  • Run studies and validations on the line as needed.
  • Ensure processes and procedures follow regulations.
  • Experience of using PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) studies would be advantage
  • Project management and understanding of CAPEX requirements beneficial
  • A background in Injection Molding would be seen as advantageous
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Alternatively, BTEC qualification or NVQ Level 2 supported by minimum of 5+ years of experiences in a similar role.
  • Relevant computer software and Engineering Applications: Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Ms Word, Excel, MS Project, Power Point, MS Visio etc.). Some experience with CAD, 3D Creo, SQL software would be beneficial.
