Our aim is to make the boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, no matter where you were born.
About the role
This is a dynamic and interesting role with an opportunity to develop your skills across a number of different areas.
Policy development: You will support the team to stay up to date on key national and local issues affecting sanctuary seekers, contributing to briefings and strategies as needed.
Responding flexibly to emerging needs and projects: You will provide support to deliver new workflows and projects, such as grant funding
Designing and implementing processes: You will have a key role in identifying and making improvements to our case management systems supporting Ukrainians
Manage key data flows relating to the Homes for Ukraine scheme: You will be interpreting and explaining data, ensuring key data flows are accurate and efficient.
Delivering a high level of customer service: You will be responding to emails and contact from residents and refugees in Richmond and Wandsworth, being sensitive and accurate with the advice that you give.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Knowledge and understanding of local authorities' responsibilities relating to refugee resettlement, including Ukraine, Afghan and Syrian schemes and asylum.
Experience of working with and interpreting data, including standard excel skills.
Experience supporting operation design.
Experience of providing excellent customer service and interaction with residents.
Able to create a culture of continuous improvement, initiating ideas, responding to change opportunities and maintaining momentum.
