What is the opportunity
To make a positive contribution to Banks strategy, leading the delivering of successful projects. You will have responsibility for delivering key business outcomes plus the autonomy to shape projects and find innovative solutions.
This is a chance to develop your business knowledge, spanning multiple teams and business units across the organisation, by working on a variety of change projects. You will work closely with senior managers across the business including the UK Executive.
*This is a 12 month fixed term position*
In this role you will:- Accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of the project (s) to time quality and budget. Using appropriate governance frameworks including the UK Change/DEX Frameworks, tailored to the specific needs of the project. Ensure any necessary internal governance requirements are met and the project is fully aligned with all relevant external financial services regulation.
- Lead all day to day operational aspects of the project from start up through to completion, including making sure Risks and Issues are handled effectively in order to protect delivery dates and secure the anticipated business benefits. Perform regular project risk analysis and use this as the basis to develop contingency plans where necessary
- Liaise with multiple partners across the business, IT and third parties up to Exec Level to ensure effective and efficient implementation, Facilitating and motivating cross functional and departmental teams both internally and externally towards common goals. Identify and schedule any reliance on third party resources negotiating with vendors / BOI third party suppliers as needed. Ensure the smooth transition of the project into the business as usual by ensuring effective roll out and training plans are in place and implemented
- Lead communication regarding project status to key partners up to Exec Level. Accurately report all critical components of the change initiative. This includes budget, project plan, scope, team, risks and issues.
- Work with the UAT team to ensure business testing is undertaken on system changes being delivered as part of the project. Manage delivery of User Acceptance Testing on assigned projects if the capacity of the Business Change UAT Team is exceeded.
Having excellent communication skills with experience building effective relationships and collaborating with senior partners.
Have a consistent track record of delivering change, capable of creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
You can evidence strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate, empower, and create a 'can do' atmosphere.
You enjoy working in fast pace roles, evidencing an ability to respond flexibly to change in the moment.
While not crucial to apply the following would be a strong bonus
- Proficient IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of project management using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects.
- Experience in using Clarity/Confluence and / or MS Project applications
- Experience of medium / large scale change and strategic programme delivery.
There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.
