Summary

Own the templating and space optimisation outcomes and processes within a specific BU.
Works with the Space Planning Manager to partner with BUs to develop and deliver the BU Space Strategy with accountability for optimising BU space allocation for both seasonal and AYR change, within the template and into stores and store projects.
Works to optimise range (width & depth), space (sq and linear), presentation and VM with fixture and layout. Ultimately owning the Micro Space Blueprint for their categories.
Proactively identifies opportunities to drive densities, optimise space & fixture use across the BU and embed into the blueprint. Works across the business to ensure clarity and consistency in WoW and decision making for all things space related.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Supports the development and delivery of the space strategy for the BU, fully aligned to the overall C&H strategy and works with the Space planning manager on the development and delivery of the BU strategy
  • With the BU grading planner owns the Space to Stock Efficiency and space productivity ambitions through effective allocation of space and harmonisation of stock width, depth, space sq ft, linear, fixture design, use and planning, with VM for their BU
  • Use the insight and analytics available to drive space optimisation - including 4C data, Profit curves and catchment insight
  • Track and challenge retail application of display principles - delivery to template vs actual
  • Ensures work is appropriately prioritised and resourced to meet the demands of Transformation

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

  • Commercially driven
  • Good understanding of the Space/Merchandising critical path, process flows, competencies and activities
  • Understanding of the processes of delivering product within the store retailing environment
  • All relevant C&H, Space & Retail reporting, and merch systems, specifically: JDA floor planning, PowerBI
  • Knowledge of JDA or similar planning systems is desirable
