The Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) is responsible for coordinating philanthropy, alumni and supporter engagement, and advancement communications on behalf of the University. DARO works with colleges, academic departments, research centres and institutes, wider student experience partners, and professional departments to engage over 235,000 alumni and supporters around the world.

Advancement Services are a key driver in enabling our Development and Alumni Supporter teams to deliver against key objectives in philanthropic giving at all levels and alumni supporter engagement throughout the University. The team is made up of professionals in Prospect Research, Reporting and Insight, Data and Systems along with the Gift Services Team.

As Gift Services Manager, you will lead the Gift Services function to support the University in raising philanthropic funds. This will include: liaison with a range of internal stakeholders to support effective financial reporting to donors; monitoring of donated funds' use and financial position; engaging with additional University teams in the development of donor impact case studies; working with Fundraisers in the financial development of new philanthropic gift propositions; oversight of eff icient gifts processing and receipting, including substantial work with donor databases; encouraging the greatest take up of tax efficient giving within our donor community. You will support colleagues and donors to allow a seamless donor experience, ensuring philanthropic funds are spent as donors intended and to best effect.

The Gift Services Manager will manage the Gift Services team and coordinate all activity relating to philanthropic income in DARO, supporting colleagues in the wider University to maximise philanthropic income.
