In this role, you will be part of a team of professionals who work across a number of campuses to manage, co-ordinate and deliver interventions and events, both on and off campus, with learners from schools, colleges, other education providers and from within the community to increase the number of leads and applications to the University, contributing to the 'Towards 2030' strategy and Access and Participation Plan targets.

You will be organised, pro-active and driven with a proven ability to work in a high energy, team focused environment with targets to meet. Previous experience of delivering student recruitment activities, marketing or educational guidance would be an advantage and is preferred.

Here are some examples of the exciting work you can expect in this role over an academic year:

  • Represent the University at local and national UCAS fairs and UKUNISearch events and a schools and College careers fairs and community careers events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school and college staff to facilitate and drive up engagement.
  • Develop and deliver professional presentations and workshops, developing creative ways to share Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), key messages and USPs.
  • Plan, manage, deliver and evaluate outreach led events on our campuses, such as Health Taster Days, Future Teachers Discovery Days.
  • Work with academic colleges to develop a menu of academic led outreach and facilitate delivery of activities within target schools and colleges.
  • Work with our partners to co-host on campus outreach events such as SMARTSTEM, NHS 350 careers events, Dream Placement to extend reach and develop projects with local UniConnect partnerships.
  • Provide content for Outreach Connect our monthly e-newsletter and develop our digital menu of activity.
  • Support the recruitment, selection, training and development of Student Ambassadors via the university wide Student Ambassador Scheme..
  • Support our events team to deliver Open Days across our all campuses and with inbound enquiries and outbound conversion calling, particularly over the Clearing period and results day.

Our work is regional and national, so significant travel will be expected of the post holder and so there is a requirement to be flexible with working patterns, due to overnight trips and the requirement to work between our campuses and in various Schools and Colleges.

This role requires satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) at an enhanced level.
