Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive and precise cost estimates for groundworks projects, encompassing site preparation, excavation, drainage, and foundation works.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure adherence to financial goals.
  • Aid in the creation and submission of tender documents, assess subcontractor bids, and negotiate contracts.
  • Supervise contracts from start to finish, including modifications, payments, and final accounts.
  • Deliver regular financial reports to management, highlighting cost differences and proposing necessary actions.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and value engineering, enhancing project efficiency while maintaining quality.
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks related to projects, implementing mitigation plans as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost management and project completion.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or groundworks sector.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with groundworks, civil engineering practices, and related industry standards.
