Our client is a growing recruitment and consultancy business that has a focus on Technology, Marketing and consultancy with offices in the UK as well as globally.

They are currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant (PQ or Qual) to join their dynamic finance team and report to the Group Head of Finance. This role will be varied and cover financial and accounting activities for 3 of the 7 trading entities within the Group as well as some Group wide responsibilities.

It is a broad and evolving role which encompasses but is not limited to the following duties / expectations :

Production of management accounts for 3 entities (2 in the UK and 1 in the Netherlands)

  • Responsibility for financial compliance and controls in the above entities
  • Input into the year end audit packs in liaison with the Head of Finance
  • Variance and commercial analysis for the Group Head of Finance for the above entities
  • Building strong relationships with the sales managers across the Group
  • Provide cover for the other Group Management Accountant who looks after 4 entities (2 in the UK and 2 in Germany)
  • Government reporting (including VAT for all entities, Intermediary reporting)

Key Financial Cycles

Staff payroll and expenses

  • Management accounting, analysis and reporting
  • Monthly billing cycle
  • Quarterly VAT accounting for 5 entities in UK/NL and monthly VAT accounting

Management Accountant Job Duties:

Production of entity management accounts

Financial compliance and controls

Government reporting

Year End Audit (Assist with)

Building strong relationships

Commissions

Cash and bank

You will also identify opportunities for cost control or margin enhancement and present actions to the Head of Finance in this relation. Assist the Head of Finance in presenting reports to the senior management team and provide cover for the Head of Finance when that person is unavailable.

This is a progressive role which will develop within the business. Communication and an outgoing personality are crucial for the role.
