Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Band 5 Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients with complex medical needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. This will be supporting a 25 year old female and will be looking for a female nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Tracheal suctioning
  • Enteral RIG/PEG/MicKey Bolus feeding
  • Enteral RIG/PEG/J/MicKey pump management
  • Adherence to mandatory compliance requirements
  • Medication administration
  • Nebulisation (Aerosol Therapy)
  • Conducting patient observations
  • Oral suctioning
  • Oxygen therapy administration
  • Pressure area care
  • Tracheostomy care for adults
  • Tracheostomy resuscitation
  • Ventilation management via tracheostomy
Qualifications and Experience:
  • NMC registered Band 5 Nurse
  • Proven experience in complex care settings
  • Proficient in tracheostomy care and ventilation management
  • Competence in enteral feeding techniques (RIG/PEG/MicKey)
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols
  • Ability to perform accurate patient observations and assessments
  • Experience in oxygen therapy and nebulisation
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
