Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Third Party Contract Manager whose role will be to support Category teams by identifying, implementing and developing Contract Manufacturing and Packing solutions.

A day in the life of a Third Party Contract Manager

Your main responsibility will be to support Category teams in identifying, implementing and developing appropriate, effective, cost-optimized outsourced finished-product supply solutions and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and Nestlé standards and practices.

You will ensure that appropriate capabilities and capacities are available to meet forecast demand and that the ability to react to short-notice changes in demand is maintained within the supply base. Supply solutions should embrace and support Nestle's overall Lean Supply philosophy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To own the commercial relationship between a defined portfolio of Third Party Suppliers and Nestlé in order to provide sourcing solutions on supply of products unable to be produced or supplied from a Nestlé UK manufacturing plant or affiliate.
  • Conduct and conclude negotiations on price and other terms and conditions
  • Use the relevant Nestlé Procurement tools to ensure appropriate measures and mechanisms in place to manage and continually improve suppliers' performance
  • to anticipate future requirements for co-manufacture, co-filling and co-packing and Lead the Implementation of sourcing strategies and actions at local market level.
  • Identify and lead Lean initiatives
  • To have a relentless focus on improving our Total Delivered Costs across your portfolio of finished products.

What will make you successful?

You'll be a talented Supply Chain professional with extensive knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain, Financial, Procurement and QA. Technical knowledge of factory processes would also be advantageous.

You will have the ability to communicate with and influence people at all levels both internally and externally including senior commercial and operational management teams. This coupled with your demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams across multiple locations and functions and interact with a geographically and structurally diverse set of customer businesses.

  • An in-depth understanding of Responsible Sourcing agenda and priorities
  • A thorough understanding of Goal Alignment concepts and practices
