Job Title: Product Quality Specialist (Methods and Tools)

Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience

Location: Bolton (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

This role will appeal to a proven quality and/or engineering professional who wishes to accept the challenge of driving step change improvements for product assurance and quality in an international, high technology environment.

  • Process Development: Lead the development, deployment and sustainment of quality assurance processes, methods and tools; with a focus on positive product quality management.
  • Innovation: Explore and exploit technology advances to deliver innovative solutions to current day quality challenges; especially in the realms of advanced data analytics using artificial language towards a predictive and prescriptive quality capability.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to meet user needs and ensure competence of the user base.
  • User Support: Manage support requests, incidents, issues, system evolutions and business continuity activities in order to ensure uninterrupted service delivery
  • Improve & Standardize: Implement best practices throughout the product lifecycle to improve quality and reduce issues, ensuring standards that are recognized within the industry.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Operational experience in product quality management
  • Experience of working in an aerospace/ defence engineering business - preferred, not essential
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, and in particular SAP QM / SAP HANA, together with SAP project and change management experience - beneficial, but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and demonstrating a determination and persistence to deliver results.
