The Role

We are making several changes across our business and require an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team to oversee these projects.

As a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects across PL Re by managing the planning, execution, supervision, and communication of one or more projects. This role will mainly involve supporting the infrastructure project team in carrying out a global desktop estate upgrade. The tasks include upgrading laptop operating systems to Windows 11, modernizing hardware, and transitioning from SCCM to Intune. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and ensure the successful completion of this project.

To excel in this position, you should have a solid project management background and a good grasp of desktop upgrade deployments using SCCM and Intune. You must have a proven track record of implementing global desktop refreshes for approximately 1000 users, delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget while meeting the planning, management, supervision, and communication standards set by PL Re.

You will collaborate with various departments such as Platforms, Infrastructure, Data, Enterprise Architecture, E-ISO, and potentially Actuarial Systems, Finance, Operations, Pricing, and other teams to develop, align, and oversee the project plan and timelines.

Qualifications, Expertise and Attributes
  • Essential experience and proven track record of managing end-to-end desktop upgrades in medium to large organizations.
  • Experience with projects involving M365, Cloud, Intune, and SCCM.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager in complex IT Service Management / Technology environments.
  • Proficient in Waterfall, Agile & Hybrid methodologies, with the ability to choose the best approaches for different tasks and challenges.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  • Data & analytical skills, capable of eliciting and agreeing on requirements with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, control, and monitoring abilities.
  • Sound understanding of Technology Risk Management standards and security importance.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with Executive and Senior Leadership levels.
  • Extensive experience in people management and matrix team leadership.
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple third-party vendors and partnerships.
  • Thorough knowledge of project and program methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
  • Minimum 10 years of Project and Program Management experience.
  • Experience with PPM solutions, Jira / Atlassian & MS 365 is advantageous.
