We're now recruiting for a Privacy Operations Analyst (Global), to join us on a permanent basis. Reporting to Willis Towers Watson (WTW) Global Head of Privacy Operations, who is part of the Global Privacy Office (Office of the General Counsel), this position will support the Global Privacy Office on planning, developing, implementing and monitoring global privacy projects and processes that form part of the WTW global privacy programme.

This is an exciting role within a dynamic environment for someone who is keen to develop their career in Privacy. We are looking for a key contributor to assist in establishing and maintaining privacy compliance standards and WTW's global privacy program, principally through the duties and responsibilities set forth below. Prior privacy and/or legal training preferred. This role can be based in either our London, Reigate or Ipswich office, with an element of remote working.

The Role:

  • Assist the privacy function by answering mailbox enquiries, to assist colleagues with privacy questions, as well as provide input to external requirements such as RFPs / RFIs, etc
  • Support the Privacy Operations and broader Global Privacy Team with the roll out and implementation of WTW's global privacy programme and the successful delivery of the projects that form part of the wider privacy programme
  • Keep up to date with privacy developments and regulations
  • Support the roll out across the business of privacy by design and by default
  • Support responses to data subject requests
  • Work with business teams to maintain Records of Data Processing
  • Work on the issuance of regular reports to track privacy controls and metrics
  • Plan and assist with privacy projects, trainings, and communications. This includes engaging business units and functions, identifying key privacy deliverables, developing project plans, monitoring goal progress, supporting and following up implementations as required.
  • Work independently on privacy matters as directed and develop/assist with the automation of privacy processes through use of technology (including One Trust) and upkeep of the Privacy Team intranet content.
  • Identify opportunities for increased automation and efficiency within the Privacy Team.
  • General administrative tasks including organizing and maintaining program documents in a paper and/or electronic filing system, scheduling meetings and preparing relevant materials including meeting minutes, and PowerPoint presentations.

The Requirements:

  • Possess IAPP CIPP/E certification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office application suite with an emphasis on Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Have excellent research and writing skills and a willingness to further develop same.
  • Have exceptional organizational skills to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including accelerating pace as appropriate to urgency as directed.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills including effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of privacy and data protection requirements and controls
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects
  • Experience of working with teams virtually and across multiple time zones e.g. offshore teams
