Job Title: Senior Privacy Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Privacy Lawyer to join our team at Data Privacy Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Privacy Lawyer, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complex world of data protection and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist our clients in delivering data protection compliance and advice to internal stakeholders through our Privacy Office.
  • Review, prepare and provide advice on data protection agreements, including standard contractual clauses, transfer impact assessments and associated documentation.
  • Work closely with our Privacy Operations team on a variety of privacy operational workstreams, such as data subject access requests, data incidents, and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  • Support our Legal Department's provision of advice to lawyers within our practice groups in relation to our clients' data protection obligations globally.
  • Keep abreast of privacy law developments and practice in the UK and EU and within other international jurisdictions where our clients operate.
Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales (or another common law or European jurisdiction) with experience in-house or in private practice in the UK.
  • Candidates must have a number of years post qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience advising on data protection matters across a global organisation.

  • Seeks to assimilate and always demonstrate, a solid understanding of the local, cultural, client, practice group, strategic or market-specific nuances or considerations.
  • Does not shy away from complex tasks, or proactively taking on responsibility and assisting other team members.
  • Can confidently and comfortably balance working independently with an appropriate degree of autonomy, with the need for transparency, seamless communication and co-operation with other team members.
