Edgar Stammers Primary Academy is part of the Greenheart Learning Partnership, a strong Multi Academy Trust and is a vibrant and innovative primary school.
At its most recent inspection (2023), the school was recognised as 'good' and that it sits at the heart of the community where teachers and parents work together to forge strong relationships and provide good learning experiences for all children.
Our good quality of education is built on strong foundations of pastoral care and personal development for all our children and families, as levels of disadvantage in the local area are high. The school is currently 67% disadvantaged. We are looking for a strong leader who will demonstrate character, commitment, and determination to addressing the challenges that this can bring. We require a leader who will have high aspirations for all our children, embracing the principles of equality and inclusion for all, regardless of backgrounds and starting points.
We are now seeking to appoint our next leader with the drive and determination to build on the excellent work already undertaken and to take the school forward on its journey to become a beacon of excellence.
The successful candidate will:
· Have recent experience on a senior leadership team as a Phase Leader, Assistant Headteacher or above, with a proven track record of improving outcomes for children across a year group or phase.
· Have a proven ability to lead within a distributed leadership ethos, with leadership skills that motivate and inspire staff and pupils to achieve the highest standards
· Be committed to further raising the standards of teaching and learning that our school has achieved.
· Be able to demonstrate good or outstanding teaching with an excellent record of classroom practice.
· Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, a sense of humour and a caring personality.
· A successful record of leading a key stage and core subject.
