We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher, Instructor or individual who is keen to train in teaching Food and Nutrition.

You will be delivering lessons across all years in KS3 and popularity of this subject at KS3 has resulted in continually high uptake of Food, Preparation and Nutrition in KS4. Lessons across KS3 involve 4 lessons within a fortnight. There are 2 separate rotations of food which provide students with knowledge and understanding of nutrition as well as a range of analysis and practical skills to create and make dishes, adapt recipes to suit needs and produce availability outside of the school environment. Attention is given to developments within the food environment and have been carefully incorporated into the curriculum to meet the needs of modern cooking and eating habits. In addition, KS3 lessons have been planned to provide students with a foundation of skills and knowledge that are built upon in KS4. Students are taught and motivated to create all possible components of dishes they make with high expectations for the final products, analysis and knowledge development.

Successful applicants will need to be able to work well independently as well as collaboratively with the existing team, be dynamic to adapt lessons if needed, possibly with limited notice/time to prepare and continue to deliver the high standards that students have been accustomed to in this well-loved and popular subject.
