Development Lead

We are collaborating with a growing housing association in the East Midlands currently seeking a Development Lead for their New Business team.

The chosen candidate will take charge of the entire new development process, from identifying land opportunities to finalizing contracts, and delivering top-notch housing that meets evolving customer needs and aligns with the company vision.

This position is perfect for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a solid background in new business development and real estate.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional negotiation skills, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate site suitability and assess new business opportunities to ensure they meet financial and design standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement new schemes aligned with corporate goals.
  • Guide and support the Assistant Development Officer/Graduate Partner in their professional growth.
  • Manage the approval process for new investment opportunities, property disposals, and regeneration initiatives.
  • Supervise project budgets, maintain financial control systems, and ensure timely funding claims.

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an RP/Housing Association setting.
  • Familiarity with section 106 & packaged schemes.
  • Proficient in contract negotiation.
  • Experience with financial appraisal software.
Starting salary around £50k with prospects for career advancement.
