Equipment Calibration Analyst/Planner

The Boeing Company is looking for an Equipment Calibration Analyst/Planner to join our team in Sheffield, UK.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Following established methods, work closely with external suppliers with the responsibility of organizing and planning the service and calibration of precision dimensional, optical alignment, measurement tools, instruments, and test equipment and systems. Ensuring such tools and instrumentation are fit for purpose at point of use in line with the production schedule.
  • Communicates with internal and external suppliers to provide information regarding adherence to scheduled activities. Collects and logs accurate information, runs standard reports, and maintains records per record retention guidelines.
  • May perform some elementary analysis using developed tools.
  • This role requires frequent interface with technical personnel in the collection, compilation, completion, and preparation of engineering reports and graphs to assist management in one or more of the following functions: planning, scheduling, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Provides information to develop and continuously improve calibration and maintenance procedures.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Customer support or customer service experience
  • Experience in a Technical or Quality support role in a highly regulated manufacturing company such as Aerospace, Medical or Oil & Gas etc.
  • Familiarity with a calibration recall system
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Be familiar with Mechanical and/or dimensional Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) such as Micrometers, vernier Calipers, Height Gauges etc etc.
  • Motivated problem solver with 2 or more years' experience using Microsoft and other office computing systems.
  • Experience of developing processes utilizing SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
  • Be adaptable and maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures.
  • Originates action to improve existing conditions and processes; uses appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implements solutions, and measures impact.
  • Demonstrates an interest in personal learning and development. Seeks feedback from multiple sources about how to improve and develop; modifies behaviour based on feedback or self-analysis of past mistakes. Takes steps to develop and maintain the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform.
  • Effectively plan what is to be achieved and involve all relevant stakeholders. Demonstrate the use of information gathering techniques, analysing situations and identifying implications in order to make correct decisions. Demonstrate ability to monitor progress and to make changes as required.
