My client is looking for a Grant / Operations Manager to orchestrate their internal operations amid a period of growth.


The ideal candidate will be working alongside the founders and be the heart of our administrative effectiveness, taking charge of key operations.


Responsibilities:


Fully managing their various Innovate UK grants, including engaging with Innovate UK monitoring officers and accountants, and preparing quarterly update reports to ensure claims are submitted and approved in a timely manner.

Assist with hiring, including drafting job descriptions and engaging with recruiters.
Assist with lab expansion, including engaging with lab space providers and managing lab expansion and move logistics.
Preparing R&D tax credit reports, including engaging with accountants and preparing quarterly technical and cost claim reports.
Organising team building activities.
Arranging conference attendance.

Qualifications and experience:
3+ years experience in UK Innovate grant management compliance is a must.
Excellent financial acumen is a must.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
BSc in Biology, Immunology, or similar is desired.
Experience in hiring and liaising with external recruiters is desired.
Experience in a multi-faceted operational role is desired.
Experience in an early-stage startup environment is desirable.
