We seek candidates for an experienced, hands-on, AWS Cloud Manager (SRE) to be based in our London office.
You will have the opportunity to share your depth of technical AWS expertise with our dedicated high performing SRE Cloud Engineering team plus wider operational team including DevOps & Cloud Security.
Working closely with our Head of Site Reliability & Cloud Security, you will lead on the technical aspects of running our SaaS platform including help design, implement, and manage change, for our public cloud infrastructure.
With a balance of Windows & Linux experience, you will help develop our small team with design & solutionising problems.
Together, you will guide the reliability, scalability, and performance of our SaaS platform which is used by 4M people in over 190 countries.
What can you expect:

- To help guide our talented team to realise our ambition to migrate to AWS public cloud.
What you need to have:
- Significant experience & talent in AWS, certifications would be a bonus.
- Extensive experience in a cloud engineering or site reliability engineering role.
- Experience of developing, leading or managing a small team of Cloud or SRE Engineers.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare.
- In-depth knowledge with both Windows and Linux technologies

- Experience moving workloads into public cloud.
- A good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle & the role Cloud teams play in this.
- Ability to collaborate well across a global team.
- A background working in software companies / SaaS businesses.
- Experience with automations / orchestrating tooling such as Jenkins / Octopus.
- Experience with containerisation technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
We will rely on you to:
- Be the "go-to" expert for Cloud operations, you'll need to guide and deliver platform performance and stability across our Cloud Infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure for our .NET platform on AWS and VMWare.
- Develop and automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal reliability and performance of our platform.
- Partner with Cloud Security to implement and enforce security best practices to protect our cloud-based systems and data.
- Collaborate with Development / DevOps teams to optimize application performance and reliability in cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and site reliability engineering.
