Professional Risks Team Leader

We are currently looking for a Professional Risks Team Leader to join the successful and experienced centralised team based out of brand new offices in Bath.

Higos prides itself on being a market leading regional broker with a strong reputation of service gathered from over 30 years' and operating from multiple office locations across the South West. The Team Leader is central to these offices and alongside the team will deal with the larger or technical specific businesses associated with professional risks such as accountants, engineers, surveyors, architects, safety providers and many others. Access to various, sometimes unique market wordings and online underwriting systems will give you and the team a strong position in finding the most appropriate insurances to suit a clients demands and needs.

This is a long term and progressive opportunity with a stable and reputable broker. You will need good PI knowledge either from broking or underwriting and enjoy the challenge of being a central point of contact and leading others.

The day to day:

Meet and deliver against your agreed Renewal Retention and/or New Business Targets, contributing towards the teams overall budget targets & KPI'sCreating a customer-led culture where sales and customer standards, discipline, activities, and best practice are delivered.Comply and manage your teams credit controlDebt Management - ensure all monies are collected and allocated appropriately and keep line manager informed of any current, potential or perceived problems with bad debt.Manage and prioritise your diaries/tasks, these are to be kept up to dateAudit your staff 1 per month and feedback / Carry out Annual and Mid-Year reviews with your team membersManage staffing levels including recruitmentComplete any training that is deemed necessary for your role and fully prepare for your regular 1-2-1s and year-end review. Ensure you agree and complete the actions set in line with your development plan.Ensure all training is completed to deadline set for you and your team. Log all training and development on your Continuous Professional Development Plan (CPD)

Your experience:

Good working knowledge of Professional Risks InsurancesExperience in either Broking or Underwriting or both with PI and/or Financial Lines InsurancesA wide knowledge of commerce and industry and familiarity with as well as ability to study the market and forecast economic trendsAbility to develop and maintain business contacts and goodwillExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prepare and present reportsPro-active and self-motivatedStrong planning and organisation skills to meet deadlinesAttention to detailCo-operative and supportive team player
