Job Title: VAT and Tax Compliance Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, we are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely compliance with VAT, tax, and Statutory Account filing deadlines.
  • Support the production of Management Accounts by completing assigned tasks on time, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with lease accounting, a top priority for the business.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns for the UK and international accounting firms for overseas VAT returns.
  • Address basic VAT inquiries and provide support for lease accounting requirements.
  • Handle queries from internal and external audit, and tax departments.
  • Complete tasks as part of month-end close processes.
  • Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide analysis and documentation as requested by the parent company.
We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of VAT and other finance duties, ideally part qualified or equivalent. This role is suitable for someone transitioning from a role in accountancy.
