Registration Assistant

We are looking for staff to work with the Student Documents and Visa Team to support the Registration event taking place across July, August, September and October.
There is a summary of some of the duties involved in the event listed below. There are a number of roles available, and you would be assigned specific duties from the list as required.
Registration Event Tasks
· Producing student cards
· Distributing Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs)
· Checking the student's identity against official documents
· Checking Visa entry and immigration status
· Using multiple applications to check and record student information, including Microsoft SharePoint and Banner (student record system)
· Queue management and basic signposting
Other duties
- Give general support and information and refer students to other sources of assistance
- Provide general assistance and administrative support to the Student Documents and Visa Team
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Skills and Experience
- Providing an excellent customer service preferably with experience of working in a customer focused role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Desire to work in a busy environment
- Adaptable with flexibility to be involved in varied activities
Please note that the role involves handling BRPs, requiring a security check in which passport details are sent to the Home Office. We will require written consent to perform this security check.

Home Office restrictions for handling BRPs require that all applicants for this role must match one of the following criteria:
- UK national
- Irish national
- National of an EEA state or Switzerland who have either pre-settled or Settled status under the EU Settlement scheme (A non EU or EEA national who holds pre-settled status under EUSS will not be approved)
- Have current Indefinite Leave to Enter or Remain
