Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Here at Futures, we are delighted to be working with a globally recognised business, but very much up and coming here in the UK. The company are a really niche manufacturer with a lot of success and growth over the last 3 4 years

Due, to internal progression and investments into the site, they are now looking to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, to join their Engineering department, and oversee Mechanical Maintenance on site.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for, providing continuous mechanical maintenance and repair service to all production equipment and machinery within a timely manner and ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum.

Responsibilities of an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Maintain, repair or replace mechanical equipment machinery to a standard that will ensure maximum machine efficiency and performance.
  • Attending equipment and machinery breakdowns and prioritising workload accordingly.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • To undertake development work that extends effective usefulness of company equipment.
  • To Identify and take appropriate remedial action to rectify equipment faults and failures.
  • Ensure all necessary maintenance information is recorded using the recognised documentations.

Successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be:

  • Apprentice trained to a Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Discipline or equivalent.
  • Well versed in working for a fast-paced manufacturing industry.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • A great communicator.
