Our client is a well-established organisation in the retail distribution industry with a site in Oxford, employing over 1,000 people across the UK. They are known for their high-quality products and dedication to customer satisfaction.

This Assistant Depot Manager - Nights position requires an individual with a strong focus on logistics to ensure effective and efficient operations. The role involves managing the flow of goods, overseeing the supply chain, and implementing strategic plans. The shift pattern for the role is Thursday to Monday, starting from 2.30am, completing a 42 hours a week.

Description

The Assistant Depot Manager - Nights will be responsible for the following

  • Oversee daily operations in the logistics department
  • Develop and implement strategic logistics plans
  • Coordinate and manage the flow of goods
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product quality throughout the supply chain
  • Manage team members and foster a positive working environment
  • Continuously seek improvements in processes and systems
  • Comply with all industry regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals

Profile

A successful Assistant Depot Manager - Nights should have:

  • an experience working in a fast paced distribution or logistics operation
  • Experience in managing a team of both warehouse and drivers
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
