Position Overview
As the Regional Head of Logistics, you will provide strategic leadership to multiple depots within the designated area, ensuring a high and consistent standard of operations across all locations. You will collaborate with the broader Logistics Leadership team and other business areas to enhance the visibility and perception of Depot Operations. Your role will involve coaching and developing Depot Managers and the Regional Distribution Manager to establish robust succession plans for future success. You will effectively build a regional network that fosters a positive culture, develops talent, and delivers excellence in Depot Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Team Development:
- Assess strengths and weaknesses across the team to create effective succession plans and identify learning and development needs.
- Manage the regional development budget in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.
- Communicate the Regional Strategy and performance through depot visits, team meetings, and monthly reviews.
- Engage with depot colleagues to maintain high morale and identify areas for improvement, motivating staff through coaching and celebrating achievements.

Collaborate across functions within the organization to represent Logistics Operations in company-wide initiatives:
- Ensure the business values and long-term plans are integrated into the regional operations, including annual plans and performance reviews.
- Develop a Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy for the region in partnership with the HSE department.
- Participate in strategic initiatives with central functions such as HR, Finance, and IT.
- Prepare and present an annual operating budget for the regional depots, treating the region as a Profit and Loss center and addressing any significant budget variations.
- Proven leadership experience in a multi-site logistics environment.
- Preferred background in dairy, food, or beverage distribution.
- Health and Safety Leadership (NEBOSH certification)
- Logistics Certification (CILT/APICS)
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
