Hours: 7.50am - 4.30pm Mon - Thur and 2pm finish on Friday

Join our client as a Practise Manager to cover a 12 month maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to take responsibility for various key areas of the practice's operations. From finance and personnel management to health and safety, stock control, and clinical governance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the practise runs smoothly and efficiently.

We are looking for someone available to start in mid September to ensure a handover can take place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the practice's finance, adhering to the business plan and ensuring efficient financial management. This includes maintaining financial information, audit reporting, sales and purchase ledgers, and credit control methods.
  • Oversee personnel matters such as recruitment, selection, training, and performance management. Maintain staff records, monitor CPD, handle appraisals, and address any grievance or disciplinary issues.
  • Take charge of clinical governance and ensure all training is up to date. Prepare and manage inspections to maintain compliance.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships within the team, promoting a positive working environment.
  • Liaise with the owners regarding finance, administration, pay, and service conditions.
  • Supervise and manage staff, overseeing areas such as training, punctuality, uniforms, pay, sickness and leave, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with businesses, tradesmen, and service providers to ensure streamlined operations.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety, both for yourself and colleagues, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Manage the practise premises, insurances, security, and inventory, with emphasis on effective administration and marketing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager/Office Manager or a similar role within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to monitor performance against business plans and develop suitable systems.
  • Excellent people management skills, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, CQC inspections, and maintaining compliance.
  • Familiarity with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience in managing premises, insurances, and inventory.
  • Proficient computer skills, including using practice management software.
