Location: Office Base is flexible with travel to BBC bases. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

Job Introduction

The Organisation Development Specialist is responsible for contributing to the BBC organisation development (OD) strategy including Performance & Development, Talent and Succession & Careers.

The OD Specialist ensures that OD is a key enabler to deliver the BBC's strategic and cultural ambitions.
This role will be a trusted specialist, contributing to designing and implementing solutions to improve organisational effectiveness.

Critical to the success of this role will be to consult with key internal stakeholders to establish requirements and outcomes to enable the design, development and implementation of OD solutions, along with the provision of expert advice and guidance on OD best practice. Project planning and stakeholder management will be critical to the success of the role, to meet organisational outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead/support the successful delivery of Org Dev activity and projects
  • Help create and drive effective project plans and Org Dev initiatives to support delivery of business outcomes, outlined in strategy people plans
  • Analyse internal and external workforce trends and data to inform People & Org Dev interventions
  • An attention to detail with evidence of working with data analysis to support proposals
  • Strengths as a completer-finisher in managing the completion of work across multiple projects
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and communicate clear information on project progress
  • Evidence of creating compelling and inspiring communication materials
Are you the right candidate?
  • Extensive experience of delivery within one or more Organisational Development Specialism (e.g. Performance Management, Career Development, Talent Management & Succession Planning).
  • Experience of managing small/ cyclical projects from end to end, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Evidence of ability to analyse internal and external data and trends and produce data-driven Organisational Development insights.
  • Learning agility and experience of movement and flexing across a portfolio of work, along with the ability to quickly assimilate new information and making a contribution.
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively and productively with a range of stakeholders across HR and in the wider organisation providing expert advice and guidance.
