Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston's PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.

We are now recruiting for Shift Packaging Manager to join us. Reporting to the Day Operations Manager this role will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage a shift team (12) of operators/brewers in performing raw materials intake, wort production, fermentation/maturation, filtration, and other beer processing activities.
  • Coach and develop the shift teams in troubleshooting and root cause analysis using defined problem-solving tools and methodology.
  • Effectively communicate changes to key stakeholders and escalate risk in timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance to COM standards and requirements in the shift and escalate any non-compliance as appropriate.
  • To provide SIC (site incident controller) cover across site ensuring ERT (Emergency response team) is in place each shift and team has correct skills to deploy effectively
  • Effective performance management of all direct reports, focusing on behavioural change that will both inspire and motivate individuals to deliver results.
  • Perform process confirmation audits and challenge noncompliance STDs.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Previous experience as a Production/Shift manager experience in brewery, distillery, and/or within an FMCG business.
  • Capable of building positive relationships, ability to develop others through effective coaching/training.
  • Results driven and ability to align team to objectives and KPIs through policy deployment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the business.
  • Full UK Working Eligibility.
