What we're looking for?

The Cyber Security Colleague Engagement Officer role is responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the internal cyber communications and engagement strategy.

Engaging with a range of key internal stakeholders, core responsibilities include:

  • Raising awareness of cyber security using all internal communication channels
  • Cultivating a cyber safe culture within the business to ensure all colleagues are aware of their role in reducing the risk of cyber attacks on the business
  • More broadly, the role will also manage the delivery of internal communications to support the roll out of IT developments across the business
We'll trust you to:
  • Act as the primary Communications Lead for our Cyber Resilience and IT Teams and support in the development of the internal cyber security communications and engagement strategy
  • Responsible for the successful management and execution of the above strategy,
  • Use the range of internal communication channels at the company's disposal (both on and offline) to reach all colleagues with the aim of cultivating a cyber safe culture across the business.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of internal and external stakeholders in security (including internal staff, external private sector partners, regulatory bodies and domestic and foreign government agencies)

You'll need to have:

  • An understanding of the security portfolio, together with the changing threats and threat levels
  • A background or exposure in either Physical or Cyber Security, or experience helping Security teams define their communication plans would be desirable but not essential
  • Proficient knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience of managing an intranet/digital workplace and a working knowledge of communication planning
  • An effective and enthusiastic communicator who demonstrates initiative
  • The ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business
