Location: Horsham, West Sussex

Start date: September 2024

Hours: 8:30-3:30 PM full-time

Pay: £83.40- £91.83 per day

About the school:

Supply Desk are working with a friendly, inclusive school that has received a good rating from Ofsted. This role is to support the learning and development of young learners. The school strives to provide supportive and nurturing environment that promotes well-being, and empowers students to achieve their best, both personally and academically. The position is full-time and temporary, with the vision of becoming permanent the right candidate.

About the role:

Supply Desk are working with a supportive school based in Horsham, who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant starting from September, to work with students in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting. The school are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, patience, and someone with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. The role is long term, and the school are looking to make this role permanent for the right candidate.

The candidate:

  • Experience of working with young children, and knowledge of the EYFS Framework desirable but not essential
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Support children s learning through play and structured activities
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
  • Observe and monitor the children s progress and feed this back to the class teacher
  • Provide individual and group support to those students struggling
  • Foster positive relationships with both the children and the parents
