Job description:

Responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics and modeling projects. Responsible for developing new models, analytic processes or systems approaches. Creates documentation for all activities and works with Technology staff in design of any system to run models developed. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and a broad knowledge of financial markets and products.

Within the FICC Quantitative Strategies Group is our global e-Trading Strats group, one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As asset classes accelerate their adoption of electronic trading, e-Trading will continue to be recognized as a focus of future investment and a driver of innovation.

Role

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this role include working with the global Rates electronic business to research, design and build the trading models and electronic systems for pricing, electronic market making and risk management for the Rates trading desks. This role operates in close co-operation with our partners in e-Trading sales and technology as well as other lines of business across FICC.

Required Skills:
Bachelors, Masters/PhD level in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science)Financial markets experienceExcellent quantitative skills, coupled with sound knowledge of applied econometric techniques and the ability to work with large datasetsExperience in designing and building production trading systems and knowledge of underlying trading infrastructure;Real-time language proficiency (Java/C++)
