A Senior Town Planner is required to join one of the UK's leading and most reputable consultancies within their industry. This role will be based in their Colchester office, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis. Our client has an extensive list of completed and ongoing projects ranging from large-scale new build and refurbishment projects to small value design and construction work. With exciting projects in the pipeline this is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Town Planner to progress their career with a leading consultancy.

Our client has high expectations of their new recruits, therefore a successful Senior Town Planner is most likely to display eagerness and enthusiasm for the new opportunity; interest in the practice and their ethos including the type of projects they'd be working on; a willingness to learn and take on information when needed. Day to day as an employee of this practice, you are most likely to be working schemes within a range of sectors such as commercial, residential, defence and industrial. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join an ambitious, rapidly developing consultancy. They have a strong ethos and are passionate for creating exciting design solutions for their many clients spread across the UK.

Senior Town Planner Position Remuneration

Senior Town Planner Position Overview

  • Assist team lead role for the Planning team.
  • Assist with programming resources and assigning workload.
  • Monitor own time/resource input for projects to ensure commercial success.
  • Provide high-level strategy advice to clients regarding their development proposals in relation to planning policy and feasibility.
  • Contribute to the Practice generally in terms of management, discipline development, business plan objectives etc.
  • Promote the work of the planning team through all IW's offices, to raise quality of planning work and provide clear definition of role and services.

Senior Town Planner Position Requirements

  • Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Have at least 5 years' experience in a senior role within a Planning Team
  • Have a broad range of sector experience, ideally with some retail planning experience
  • Live in a commutable distance of Colchester
