Private Wealth (Tax) Paralegal – City Law Firm – London

Taylor Root have partnered with a leading city law firm who are looking to make a hire into their private wealth team, where the Paralegal will have a focus on tax services. This role will be permanent and based In firms London offices.

The Firm

Our client is a leading city law firm with over 200 years of experience advising public and privately owned business and wealthy individuals across a range of industry sectors. The firm has established well developed core services in corporate, banking & finance, employment, real estate, private wealth and tax.

The Team

The private wealth team works with individuals, trustees and beneficiaries. They cover all areas of wealth planning, international tax structuring, and multigenerational advice for mobile and international families.

The Role

  • Working with our Private Wealth team to assist with tasks such as trust accounts, estate accounts, charity accounts and rental accounts;
  • To take a proactive approach in building professional relationships with clients, co-professionals and other contacts including HMRC;
  • Supporting the Team Lead for Tax, Compliance and Disclosure with completing annual accounts, tax returns and providing beneficiaries and their accountants with necessary information
  • Providing other ad hoc and regular assistance with charity administration and tax disclosure work;
  • Entering accounting information into spreadsheets, reconciling accounts, and keeping detailed records of transactions to a high standard
  • Maintaining trust records in an orderly fashion and meeting necessary deadlines;
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new matters;
  • Carrying out legal research;

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for someone with upwards of 12 months of experience working on tax matters in a Paralegal function. This can be solely on tax matters or working in a private wealth/client team with some tax responsibilities. Ideally this will have been gained from another leading firm in London, however if your experience is from a leading regional firm and looking to relocate to London your application will still be considered. This role would suit someone who is not looking to qualify within the next 2/3 years.
